Sufism 101
Lesson 13
Practice as a path, requires concentration, faith, and dedication.
Concentration
A practice done without concentration is like is doing by rote. The fruit of rote is more rote which is the opposite of awakening. Develop your concentration. It is one of the wings required to fly.
Faith
A practice done without faith is like a candle blowing in the wind. Both will go out. Sufi practice is done with faith in the Divine Light within each of us.
Dedication
Practice that brings results requires dedication. It is difficult to restart your practices once you have let them slide. Those that advance on the Sufi path are those who do their practices.
